Inspiration through Sir Peter Blake’s legacy of sailing and environmentalism

Inspired by Sir Peter Blake’s own leadership and passion for the environment we take New Zealand youth on an adventure to educate, connect and inspire.

Sir Peter Blake was a passionate man of the sea and environment.  His quiet leadership had the utmost respect of his crew and peers, enabling him to connect with so many people as he sailed the world and raised environmental concerns.  Our aim is for our participants to undertake their own adventure and through education and group activities they too will become environmental ambassadors.

Thank you to the crew. You were absolutely fantastic; your knowledge, your stories and your kind hearts made the trip so unique. Through this experience we have learnt so many things, not only about sailing but about leadership and the strong characteristics and the values of the yachts rightful skipper: Sir Peter Blake, who we all have a huge admiration for.

Our Aim

By participating in activities such as snorkeling, surfing, rock-pooling, nature walks, and beach cleanups, BLAKE hopes to ignite a passion for the environment and encourage students to become active members in their communities.
