Reflections on our Recent Trips

We have had a full and varied couple of months. Seven school trips has seen 250 pupils experience the NZ Sailing Trust difference. Summed up beautifully by a Year 10 student from Kristin:

The main purpose of the trip was to enhance and learn leadership skills in an independent environment. It allowed us to learn more about ourselves and how we react to people and things around us in a slightly stressful environment that we are not so familiar with. One of the best rewards I had was at the end of the day, thinking about where we had sailed, and realising that it was us who made that possible, under the supportive watch of the crew members. Another was steering the boat at the end of the last day. It was such a great experience, and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do something like that. Not many others can say they’ve had the chance to do that, and I’m incredibly lucky.

Watch the fabulous video from Pinehurst showing what an amazing time their Year 9’s had with us.

We were delighted to once again host the Oceans of Hope Challenge - offering people from all over the world the opportunity to sail alongside others with Multiple Sclerosis. The 20 participants pushed themselves and were MAGNIFICENT.

We have also delivered some great charters for our corporate clients over the last couple of months - John Coop, Eir Evo and Heritage Hotels will all have experienced days on board in the run up to Christmas. More and more corporates are working with us for team building and leadership days.. and also to say THANKS to the team with a fun and exhilarating day out on the water!
